Window cleaner, Strangeways, George St, Perth. I spent a good few hours in Strangeways over the years - mostly during the day, spinning out a cup of frothy coffee of an afternoon. It’s looking a bit shabby here.
Three old blokes blethering on Perth High Street. Just a snap of three old blokes having a blether on the High Street in Perth. I love that the Daily Mail (rag that it is) has a spot red panel on the mast - pre-four colour printing.
Colin Greig. A very grainy pic of Colin Greig.
3 lads pushing a car in Melville Street, Perth. Happy snap grabbed on my old man’s Leica.
Bus stop, Kinnoull Street, Perth. Just a happy snap of a bus outside the Sandeman Library on a rainy day.
Wests, George Square, Coupar Angus. This has to be one of the older buildings in the town. Wests electricians for years then when they moved across the road the building was restored amazingly well in to a house.
Pedestrian access, level crossing gates, Coupar Angus. Not sure when this was taken. It shows the crossing as seen from the White Hoose side.
Stockman, Royal Highland Show. It’s hard to believe that not so long ago, this was the accepted accommodation for stockmen at the Royal Highland Show. Here’s one old boy soaking his feet in a feed bucket while lighting a well deserved fag. Priceless.
Gatts shoe shop, Coupar Angus. I loved Gatts. It was a proper shoe shop. He also had a good old range of Trickers shoes which were pretty decent. I bought a couple of pairs of boots from his closing down sale and still have one pair 25+ years on.
Sale ring, Caledonian Mart, Perth. One of very few frames I have of the mart before it was demolished to make way for Safeways supermarket - now Morrisons. I photographed the last beast to ever go through this ring from the window to the left.
Upstairs in Biancos, Perth. Here’s another shot from a Long Fin Killie gig in Biancos in Perth.
Constructing Coupar Angus relief road. Here’s a snap of them building the relief road in Coupar Angus.
Colin Greig, Biancos, Perth. Fuck, I don’t recall upstirs in Biancos being this vile - just look at the state of the carpet - yes, it was always a bit sticky but fuck! This was shot just before a Long Fin Killie gig. Decent night as I recall. I have a pic of the set list I’ll post another time.
Long Fin Killie, Red House, Coupar Angus. Don’t know who took this pic, not me - I was on stage. This was from Long Fin Killie’s first ever gig in the Red House (as it was) in Coupar Angus. There were another couple of Perth bands on and the place was full to bursting. On stage you can see Nick Anton, Colin Greig and Ernie.
Trees at the river Isla, Coupar Angus. Not often I shot stuff like this. Infact could count my sunset pics on a couple of hands. Anyway, heres two big trees by the Isla just outside Coupar Angus with the sun setting beyond Blairgowire.
